Meet The Artist
I grew up in Alberta, spending much of my early life drawing and turning to art as a steady creative outlet. After moving to Vancouver for University, art remained a grounding practice, and eventually taught myself to work with oil paints, shifting my focus toward studying color, layering, and capturing lasting moments.
After University, I continued working in Vancouver, spending weekends escaping the city to explore the West Coast outdoors whenever possible. Eventually, I moved up the Sea To Sky to Squamish, where access to open space and changing landscapes continues to shape my work.
Landscapes have always drawn me in, rooted in early memories of exploring Kananaskis Country and the Canadian Rockies, and continuing through my ongoing discovery of the West Coast. Growing up skiing, hiking, and camping instilled a deep respect for wild spaces and the perspective that comes from being in places much bigger than myself. Today, I continue to use the world as my playground—climbing, surfing, and exploring the backcountry —engaging directly with these environments, allowing lived experience to inspire each painting.
